Anfibio three-seater sofa bed, designed by Alessandro Becchi for Giovannetti in 1971.
This early example is upholstered in its original cognac-colored leather with a nice patina. The structure consists of polyurethane, leather, and a soft sheep’s wool mattress.
The design was awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1972 and is extensively documented in design literature, including Domus 502 (September 1971, p.38) and the design repertoire of G. Gramigna.
The sofa is in good vintage condition with an attractive patina; the leather has been lightly restored.
