Rare large Italian chest of drawers or sideboard with twelve drawers. The wooden structure is finished with a finely woven cane pattern on the fronts and sides, which has developed a beautiful and warm patina over time. The piece is framed by an elegant gilt brass structure.
The top and drawer fronts are finished with a thick, glossy transparent lacquer that protects the cane surface while adding depth and sheen to the material beneath. The brass profiles, legs and details create an elegant contrast with the wood.
