Rare dining set consisting of the square 'Oskar' table, designed by Isao Hosoe for Cassina in 1991, accompanied by four matching chairs. The table features a thick, clear glass top that appears to float above four conical legs, each clad in black saddle leather. The design was named after Bauhaus master Oskar Schlemmer, as a nod to the balance between functionality and sculptural experimentation. The matching chairs are also upholstered in black leather and align perfectly with the postmodern character of the table. The entire set is of high-end, heavy quality, made with luxurious materials and refined detailing. This specific square version is rarely seen on the market and makes a bold design statement. A dynamic interplay of sharp geometry and tactile materials such as glass, leather and metal — typical of Hosoe’s experimental yet elegant approach. The price is for the complete set. The condition is very good, with only minor signs of wear consistent with age.
