Karl Dittert for Martin Stoll / Giroflex office chair, likely late 1960s / early 1970s. This early version features the characteristic smaller hard plastic casters, typical of initial production runs and originally intended for carpeted environments. The design combines a shaped wooden shell with black leather upholstery and an aluminium star base. The chair is swivel-mounted and height-adjustable, underscoring its functional and ergonomic intent. The wooden shell is in very well-preserved vintage condition and displays a beautiful wood grain. The leather shows light signs of use and a gentle patina consistent with the chair’s age. A clear example of Giroflex’s thoughtful design approach, presented in an early and refined execution.
