Its clever mechanism — operated by brass knobs and a stepped metal plate — allows the backrest and seat to move independently into 18 different positions. With a simple turn, the piece transforms into a comfortable daybed.
The sofa features a black lacquered tubular steel frame and is upholstered in anthracite grey fabric. A matching loose cushion is included. The brass fittings and exposed hinges highlight the technical refinement and Italian modernist aesthetic of the 1950s.
