Early edition of the Serpente floor lamp, designed by Elio Martinelli for Martinelli Luce in the 1960s. The lamp is characterized by its gracefully curved metal arm and semi-spherical white methacrylate shade, which can be rotated to direct the light as desired. An iconic example of Italian Space Age design, combining futuristic form with functional elegance. The lamp is in fair to good vintage condition: the shade is very well preserved, while the frame shows signs of use consistent with age.
