Set of five MR10 dining chairs, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and produced by Knoll in the late 1970s. The chairs feature a chrome-plated tubular steel frame and thick black laced leather seat and backrest. Originally designed in the 1930s, the model was reintroduced by Knoll after acquiring Gavina in 1968, produced in Italy at the former Gavina factory.
This set was purchased in the late 1970s at Möbelhof Lohmann in Hamm, Germany — one of the few retailers offering Knoll and Cassina furniture at the time. The chairs are in very good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age.
