Cassina 780/783 Nesting Tables Gianfranco Frattini

0

Set of four ‘780 / 783’ nesting tables designed by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina. Originally designed in the 1960s and produced in the late 1970s / early 1980s. The design consists of four round tables that slide neatly into one another to form a compact cylindrical volume. When separated, they function as individual side tables of varying heights, allowing the set to be arranged in different compositions. The tables are executed in lacquered wood and feature reversible tops: one side in cream and the other in black. This allows the appearance of the set to be easily changed while creating subtle contrast when the surfaces are combined. Frattini’s design balances clear geometry with clever functionality. When stacked, the set reads as a single sculptural object, while the individual tables create a rhythmic composition when spread throughout a space.Diameter: 60 cm Height (largest to smallest): 44, 39, 34, 29 cm In good vintage condition with light signs of use.
